METHODS

  1. Saute` onion in 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil until light golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Season sirloin with pepper. Sear sirloin until golden brown and set aside.
  3. Add oil and saute` garlic in the same pan. Add seared beef, soy sauce, and sugar. Barely cover with water and simmer until tender. Once tender, let the sauce reduce.
  4. Add calamansi juice and add sauteed onion. Serve.
